HSE Management
Policy
Hanwha Ocean has established the HSE Management Policy, which includes the fundamental management philosophy for safety, health, and environment and general guidelines for decision-making and reflects the opinions of the Safety Management Advisory Committee and all members (management, executives, team leaders, managers, supervisors, on-site workers, and suppliers). This policy is enacted with the approval of the CEO and applied to all workers regardless of employment type as well as regular employees. Hanwha Ocean Ecotech and Hanwha Ocean Shandong Corporation also apply the same policy. To raise awareness and understanding of the policy among all stakeholders, we announce the policy across all sites and hold participatory events. For foreign workers, translations are provided in eight languages (including Nepali, Vietnamese, and Thai) to foster a safe and healthy working environment.
HSE Structural
Improvement
Roadmap
Hanwha Ocean is striving to improve HSE structure by pioneering the introduction of the International Safety Rating System (ISRS), an international safety rating audit system led by DNV, the first in the shipbuilding industry. Based on over 500 evaluation items across 15 sectors assessing our safety and health management level, an objective evaluation by an external professional organization identifies current safety and health conditions. Through feedback, we drive innovation in safety and health levels. Following the evaluation, 23 strategic tasks based on five long-term core strategies for innovation in people, equipment, and systems have been derived. Through the implementation of 70 short-term detailed action tasks, we aim to achieve ISRS Level 8 and ultimately attain zero serious accident.
