Hanwha Ocean adheres strictly to environmental laws and regulations in all business activities while actively pursuing environmental protection and sustainable development initiatives. In 2024, we revised our Environmental Policy to enhance biodiversity protection commitments, submitting it to the ESG Committee. We operate training programs to raise environmental awareness among staff and establishes guidelines for key environmental issues (greenhouse gases, energy, water, air and water pollution) at each business site, managing activities accordingly.

Certification
Hanwha Ocean, Hanwha Ocean Ecotech, and Hanwha Ocean Shandong Co.,Ltd. systematically manage environmental indicators that meet international standards and have obtained and renewed ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management System) certifications, which are international standards for environmental management. Through this process, the company is striving to promote environmental management throughout its corporate management and internalize it.
Hanwha Ocean’s fundamental principle is to thoroughly comply with and deeply understand key environmental laws, including the Air Environment Conservation Act, Water Environment Conservation Act, and Waste Management Act for environmental protection and sustainable management. We conduct frequent site inspections, covering air, water quality, waste, marine, and chemical management. We also hold Environmental Liability Insurance, monitors regulatory changes, and implements response strategies, maintaining zero environmental law violations since 2021.
